How to forward a fax by using email integration

Situation:
There is a fax in the Receive Log. You want to know how to forward that fax by using email.

Solution:
To forward through Microsoft Exchange or Outlook, you must first enable the email integration feature.

To enable email integration:

In the WinFax PRO Program Setup, double-click Email and Outlook Integration.
Check Enable sending faxes by email and select the email application you want to use from the drop-down menu.
Enter any required information, such as SMTP, Login and password, and click OK.
Exit WinFax PRO and the Controller, then restart WinFax PRO for the changes to take effect.

To create a rule for Automatic forwarding

In Program Setup, double-click Notification and Forwarding.
Select the folder you want the Forwarding rule applied to, and click New.
Select Forwarding Rule, and click Next.
Type a name for the forwarding rule, and specify the conditions under which you want this rule to be applied if you want the rule to be applied only to certain dates or times. You can also specify the CSID of the received fax to be forwarded.
Click Next, select the integrated email application from the Deliver By menu, and enter the E-mail address or click Select to select a recipient from a phonebook.
Click Setup if you want to add a Subject to the event.
Click Finish. You should now see the Rule listed under the mailbox in which you created it. Make sure that there is a check mark beside it. If you would like to disable the rule without deleting it, simply remove the checkmark.
Click OK, and click Close.

To perform Manual forwarding

In Message Manager, click Go, and click Receive Log.
Select the event you want to forward.
Right-click the event, point to Forward by, and select the email integration application.
Click To, select the appropriate email recipient(s), and click Add to add them to the Recipient list.
Click OK, add any attachments, and a message, and click Send. The email event will be created in the email application's Outbox and will be sent the next time the email application checks email.

To enable the recipient to view the forwarded file

Forward the event normally to the recipient.
When the recipient receives the event, right-click the Attachments link, enter a name and location for saving.
Click Start, point to Find, and click Files or Folders.
Select the drive that the attachment was just saved to, enter the name of the saved attachment, then click Find Now.
If the recipient does not have WinFax PRO/TalkWorks PRO installed, download and install the WinFax miniviewer file as follows:
If you forwarded the file from WinFax PRO 10.0, you do not need the miniviewer.
For WinFax PRO 9.0 and earlier, install the Wfxqview.exe file.
For WinFax PRO 10.01 and later, install the Miniview.exe file.
To obtain the file, read Obtaining files for WinFax PRO 10 and earlier. Do not install the miniviewer to a computer that has WinFax PRO, TalkWorks PRO, pcTelecommute, or WinFax Starter Edition installed. If you do so, then the miniviewer will be set as the default fax viewer.
Double-click the file that you saved in step 2. The event will now open properly into the WinFax PRO viewer and will be printed correctly.

Technical Information:
If a cover page appears every time you forward the email, stopping the forwarding of the email, then do the following:

Click Tools.
Click Program Setup.
Click Send.
Uncheck the option "Include a cover page."
Click OK to close Send properties.
Click Close to close Program Setup.
